What sizes gas bottles can I order from you?
We supply 9kg 12kg, 15kg, 19kg and 45kg cylinders to home and businesses region wide. We can also refill your 9kg bottles on our site on the corner of Walnut Avenue and McLean Street in Ashburton. Just give us a call first on (03) 308 4665 to make sure someone is available at the time you want to visit us to avoid disappointment. If you have an account with us, let us know.
Where do you deliver to and on what days?
Our team covers a large area here in Mid Canterbury. The boundary line follows the Rakaia River, along the Canterbury/West Coast Mountain regional boundary then follows the Havelock/Rangitata River down to the Rangitata Sea-mountains. See our Delivery page for the exact information or if you’re still unsure, give us a call on (03) 308 4665.
Should I worry about the safety of your gas bottles? Can they explode?
The cylinders are made to endure extremely high pressures and heat. Even in an extreme fire, our cylinders will not explode. The safety of our customers and staff is hugely important to us, and we make sure to take all necessary precautions to ensure it. Our technicians carefully monitor every cylinder for maintenance or expiration. A leak-test is also done at each delivery. This test includes the cylinder connection point and hoses to the regulator only, as all other checks should be performed by a qualified gasfitter. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.
What should I do if I smell gas?
Don’t panic. Smelling LPG is not always a sign of danger, as there can be several reasons for this. However, it’s always best to always stay on the safe side and call a registered gasfitter right away if you smell gas. Take a look at our safety tips for more information.
There’s a dog on the property. Do I need to keep him away when you deliver?
We love dogs but we’re also rather safe than sorry. You will need to keep your dog indoors or restrained when we visit your home. If it’s a first-time delivery for you, please let us know you have a dog beforehand, just so our drivers know to expect it. If your dog isn’t restrained and our driver feels there could be a potential threat, the delivery will not go ahead.
I may not be home when you deliver the gas. Is that okay?
Yes, that’s fine. You don’t have to be home for gas to be delivered. Our driver will get in touch with you if needed but otherwise, we’ll go right ahead and deliver your gas. If you have a security gate with a code, we’ll need to know and if there is a dog on the property, it will need to be secured.
I live out in the country. Do you deliver to rural addresses?
We certainly do! Check our delivery area or give us a call on (03) 308 4665 to confirm.
How long can LPG be left in the bottles safely?
LPG can be kept in the bottles for a long time. Several years in fact, if the bottles are stored upright in a well-ventilated area. If you use gas for your holiday home, it’s perfectly fine to use small amounts over several years.
What should I do if one of your bottles gets damaged or stolen?
Please give us a call when that happens as it’s important that we get notified of loss or any damage to our cylinders immediately. According to our contract, you are responsible for the cost of the cylinders, but your insurance should cover it.
What about tenants and deliveries to houses that are rented?

I’m planning to move house. What do you need to know?
If you are moving, please let us know so we can arrange a time to collect our cylinders and cancel your account. Each cylinder will be weighed for residual gas and if any, will be credited back to you. We will also credit back any unused rental (if applicable). If you choose to gift the remaining gas to the new occupants, they will need to open their own account with us. Accounts cannot be transferred over to another person. Once they have opened an account, we’ll cancel yours.
Do you deliver on Sundays or on holidays?
No, sorry. We don’t deliver on Sunday or on public holidays because our drivers deserve a break every now and again, too. If a long weekend or the holidays are coming up, please make sure you order your gas early.
